Just aggravates me........

"Health is not valued until sickness comes along"

Dysautonomia isnt the only disease out there that people suffer from but it still is one of the worse. It does different things to different people. Doesn't matter if you have the same disease youre still going to have different symptoms. But that does not mean that you have to lie about stuff to get sympathy.

But the part that aggravates me is whenever people take the truth and just twist it around to make everything sound worse. I've been through all the symptoms and stuff of Dysautonomia. Some days I have alot and other days I only have a few. Yes I might post on facebook about "not feeling good" or anything but I'm not going to lie about it. I hate it whenever you talk to someone and they are telling you about them not having alot of symptoms but then you hear them talking to someone else and they start talking about them passing out, throwing up, high blood pressure, weight gain, medication reactions, etc just to get people to give them some sort of sympathy. Give it a break! It honestly pisses me off (sorry for the language). Do not tell someone one thing and then tell someone else another thing. You think that I wont hear you lying about it. I'm not that stupid.

Anyway, off that subject. I just had to vent. I'm sorry if it doesnt make any sense. I'm getting a migraine! I know its been forever since I did a blog entry but its been crazy. I had a friend fly in from Idaho to see my doctor and then her return flight got delayed and blah blah blah. Its hard to think about what to put in a blog whenever you dont feel good. So to my followers.....please stick with me on this. I'm trying my best to blog more because there's so much that I want to say. Its just the fact of feeling good enough to do it.

  1. No worries hun! We all know what it's like to have those days where it takes what little energy you have just to barely get through the day, but I'm excited to read more of your entries!

On what you were writing about... I don't think I've come across a person like that.. or maybe it's just brain fog bc everyone else seems to have lol. But with what we have... why would they want to lie about it supposedly being worse for them? We should want to be better!!!

I also agree, it's good when we're so frustrated to write our little rant in our status's but when that's ALL people do is complain it's sickening. It does seem like an attention grabber!

I'm glad you got a visit with your potsy bud and she finally got diagnosed! Hopefully they'll help her with getting on the right med.s, etc. but sucks she could only be down for a few days!

Lots of hugs, and hope the migraine passes soon!!!

  2. Dear Kayla~I know where you are coming from. I don't like complaining abour my symptoms. I hate it when other people and I am not talking about just POTS,I am talking about illnesses in general.I hate it when they have to be "more sick" then you. Or they try to tell you "how" you are feeling or what's wrong with you from something they read on the internet (and it's completely wrong and misinformed information. My daughter and I talk to eachother about our POTS and try to keep allot of how we feel personally to ourselves.

Hang in there Kayla--believe in God and remeber he has you in his hands. I read some where one time that God only gives us what we can handle. You are a strong girl and things will be okay soon.

I hope your friend is okay.
    Love the song on here.
    Hope your migraine passes soon.

    Hugs XXXXXXXX

  3. I totally understand what you mean.
To be honest, I was guilty of faking sickness when I was younger to elicit sympathy.
Young kids will fake sickness to get attention they're missing, which is what I did.

But now, of course, I know that it is wrong to seek false attention, and it does bother me when others do that when they are old enough to realize that it's not right.
It's like the boy who cried wolf, basically.

Anyway, I hope things are well with you.
Let us know what's going on.
If you want, you could do a blog post about what you do on a typical day, just so people who don't know what it's like to have certain health conditions can relate with you.
